PROPOSED ROUND ABOUT UPDATE

Great News. After much lobbying actions are in hand to secure funding for an upgrade of the notorious Pantheon/Orsino intersection. The City has completed the necessary due diligence and has submitted a request for Black Spot funding to Main Roads WA for a raised safety platform roundabout. The result of the request should be known by May 2025 and, if successful, the City’s contribution will be included in the 25/26 budget. Assuming all goes well, design would be completed in 25/26 with works completed 26/27.

Meanwhile a quick security update: the City will endeavour to increase CoSafe patrols, both vehicular and foot, during peak periods this summer. In addition, CoSafe have liaised with the West Australian Police for an increase in their patrols. We believe these excellent initiatives should result in a decrease in anti-social behaviour and improve everyone’s summer experience.
