NORTH COOGEE NAME CHANGE
Landgate says “No change” but is that it?A unanimous vote of the members at our recent AGM supported a continued effort by PCCA to change our name to Port Coogee. This won’t be easy as Landgate have ruled that it is too early to change the name and a compelling case has not been made despite the desire of the nearly 2000 people who live here and three clear “Yes” votes at Council. Clearly the name Catherine Point for the northern section is not universally accepted up there and this must be taken into consideration when moving forward. PCCA is reviewing the options including an appeal to the Minister and setting up a new sub-committee.
